Scope of this check

What does a check show?

Cheqv brings together a small set of observable technical signals to help you assess a website address. Results reflect the time of the check and the signals shown here.

Public DNS

Checks whether the domain resolves to a public address. DNS resolution does not establish the owner's identity or legitimacy.

HTTPS certificate

Checks the connection certificate. A valid certificate does not validate the site's content or seller.

Reachability

Checks whether the website responds at the time of the request. A temporary outage does not, by itself, indicate fraud.

URL structure

Compares the address with configured warning patterns. No warning does not mean no risk.

How should I read the result?

The result summarizes these technical checks. Read the individual findings, and verify important claims and identities through independent sources. A failed check is not the same as a high-risk finding; review the address and try again.

Frequently asked questions

Does a completed check mean the website is safe?

No. It reflects only the technical signals displayed. It does not guarantee security, product authenticity, or seller legitimacy.

Why can a check fail?

An incomplete address, a temporary network problem, or a domain that does not respond may prevent a check. Read the error, correct the address, and try again. Do not interpret a failed check as a security verdict.

Can I check wallets, messages, or images?

Website checks and a separate message-text checker are available. The message checker matches limited text patterns; it does not verify senders or claims. See each tool for its limits.
